Professor Andrés Amian Gómez, presented a Transition Proposal to the University of South Florida in Spring 2003, known as the “Black Spring”, when Fidel Castro’s government put in hail the famous 75 independent journalists and activist of Human Rights and Civil Freedoms, for acting regardless the Cuban laws.
Professor Laurence G. Branch, PhD., (USF) was the facilitator and who covered the application fees.
On Febraury 27, 2004, Prof. Joann McCarthy, PhD., Dean of International Affairs, signed the Welcome Letter to Professor Gómez as a Graduate Student in Political Science, and as a “Florida Resident” Special Category for tuition proposes.
The US Immigration and Naturalization Service denied Prof. Gómez a temporal VISA for making his studies at USF on Octuber 12, 2004, saying he classified as “possible immigrant”.
On February 24, 2008 Raúl Castro said he was willing to make Political Dialogue giving the opportunity to Prof. Gómez to introduce the “Movement towards the Fourth Republic” vision of the Cuban Process for Improving Socialism started in 2007.
Prof. Gómez proclaimed the Transition Government on January 10, 2011, and President Barack Obama announced four days latter (Jan 14) that will allow the trips and donations for the development of the Civil Society in Cuba.
Now, Prof. Gómez, the President of the Transition Government, is inviting you to join a group of Donors willing to say, ask and hear about Cuba, the Political Dialogue facts, Transition Model, Possibilities and Expectative, as well as to share experiences about transition in countries of the ancient Socialist Europe as well as the Constitutional Movement in Latin America towards the “XXI Century Socialism”.
